Maudie Gandy

Funeral services for Maudie Gandy, 80, of Carnegie were held Thursday, September 19, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. in the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Arthur Blount, pastor First Baptist Church officiating.

Maudie was born on September 25, 1915 in Sayre to James Brooks and Deller (Lawrence) Perkins and died Tuesday, September 17, 1996.

She married Jack Lee Gandy in 1932 in Chickasha. He preceded her in death in 1975. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and had lived in and around the Carnegie area most of her life, except from 1982 to 1992 when she lived in Brighten, Colorado.

She later lived in the Elgin area until her death.

She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Wolaver of Yucaipa, California; one son, Jackie James Gandy of Kansas City, Kansas; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two brothers, George Perkins of Shawnee; two sisters, Oma Gandy of Anadarko and may burn Timmons of Elgin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, two sons and four brothers.

Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie
