Dorothy Adele Fredrickson, nee Pearson, 97, of Covenant Village of Northbrook for 15 years, formerly of Glenview and Chicago, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, LeRoy Fredrickson and her brother Arthur Pearson, and is survived by her children, Janice (Wayne) Streeter, Diane (Bruce) Erickson, and Glenn (Melanie) Fredrickson; her grandchildren David (Jenn) Mooney, Keith (Alana Stephansen), Luke and Charlotte Erickson, Kate (Brad) Little, Abby (Dave) Zak, and Libby Fredrickson; and her great-granddaughters Brynn Zak and Caroline Little. Dorothy was a lifetime member of Irving Park Lutheran Church and the Independent Order of Svithiod. She donated her body to the Rush Memory and Aging Project and the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. A Memorial Service will be held in the Engebretson Chapel at Covenant Village Brandel Care Center, 2155 Pfingsten Road, Northbrook on September 28 at 1:30 p.m. If you like, please do as Dorothy would often do and hum a cheerful tune in her memory.
