The funeral for Larry Dean Philippi will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Mt. Scott Funeral Home. Private interment will be in Multnomah Park Cemetery . Mr. Philippi drowned Monday near the island of Palau in the South Pacific. He was 26. Born April 19, 1966, in Butte, Mont., Mr. Philippi moved to the Portland area as a child and was a graduate of David Douglas High School. He was a past master councilor with the Chevalier Degree of the Order of DeMoLay. He moved to Hawaii in 1990 and became a proficient scuba diver. At the time of his death, he was under contract as a certified diver to Neco Marine in Palau. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Betty Jo and Larren ``Hollis'' Morris of Portland; sisters, Janice Gabel of Tempe, Ariz., and Deanna Long of Gresham; brothers, Calvin of Edmonds, Wash., and Steven of Portland; and his grandmother, Ann of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Order of DeMoLay in care of the Lents Masonic Lodge.
