Edwin Lee Darr died after a yearlong, courageous battle with cancer. He served in the United States Air Force was a retired firefighter with the Fort Smith Fire Department. He was employed by St. Edward Mercy Medical Center as a groundskeeper for more than 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Darr of the home; one daughter, Stacy Elaine Darr of Van Buren; one son, James Harold Darr of Fayetteville; stepfather, John Blake of Fort Smith; and one sister, Alesia Yvonne Perceful of Springdale.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Blake, and his father, Edwin Darr Sr.
Pallbearers will be the Fort Smith Fire Department Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Fort Smith Fire Department and the facility services of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center.
