Altoona Tribune, Thursday Morning, 28 December 1916:
"The body of James W. Kuhn, who was shot and killed by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Kuhn, at their home in Pittsburg on Tuesday, arrived in Hollidaysburg yesterday afternoon and was taken to the undertaking rooms of Funeral Director Thomas B. McFarland, where funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be strictly private. No one will be admitted excepting the relatives. Interment will be made in the Geeseytown cemetery."
Note: Mrs. Kuhn was not charged with the killing of her husband as they were struggling for a pistol during an altercation. (Altoona Mirror, 27 Dec. 1916).
