Birth: 1842
Death: Apr. 27, 1865

Son of John and Mary (May) Wagner.

Corporal, Co. G 64th Ohio Infantry. Captured at Franklin, Tenn., and spent four months as a Confederate prisoner in Andersonville. Exchanged 1 April 1865 and was on his way home when he was killed in the explosion of the overloaded riverboat Sultana on the Mississippi river.
