Services were held at 2 p.m. today at Eastside Christian Church for Frieda Mae Battershell, 62, Kirklin rt. 2.
Mrs. Battershell died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday at Clinton County Hospital after a lingering illness.
Born June 13, 1913, in Clinton County, she was the daughter of William G. and Hattie O. Alexander Goodnight. On September 16, 1940, she married Leo S. Battershell, and he survives.
Mrs. Battershell was a registered nurse at Marion General Hospital, Indianapolis, until her illness. She also was a private duty nurse in conjuction with work at Marion General, and a piano teacher in Clinton and Boone counties.
She was a member of the Eastside Christian Church and the Hillisburg Order of Eastern Star.
Other survivors include a son, Keith of Kirklin rt. 2, and a brother, Robert O. Goodnight of Fair Oaks, Indiana.
Revs. Larry Alexander and John H. Bush officiated.
Burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery
