George Kreher was born in St. Louis, MO to George and Anna Wolf Kreher.
George A. Kreher and Anne M. Borchers were married January 4, 1940 in St. Louis, MO. They are the parents of seven children. Rick Kreher, wife Pam Jones Kreher, their children, Jennifer and Matthew. David Kreher, wife Pam Graybeal Kreher, their daughters, Allison and Jordan. Robert Kreher, wife Judy Smith Kreher, their children, Andrew and Kelsey. Kit Nielson, husband Fred, their daughters Lauren Farrar and Linden Farrar. Sandy Montgomery, husband Robert, their children, Lisa, Scott and Ryan. Debbie Brawley, husband Donnie, and their son Aaron Moore. Linda Keene, husband Garry, and their daughter Mollie.
He was survived by his wife, all seven children, his sister, Lois Armbruster and her husband Norm.
My Dad is the Grandfather and Great Grandfather of an ever growing family who loves and misses him very much.
Daddy was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ralph Andrew Kreher who died at the age of 1.

Daddy worked on Diesel Engines at Power Plants. Him and Mom lived in Maplewood, MO for the first several years of their marriage. They moved to Rushville, IN for a short time. While there, on Sept. 15, 1949 at the Southeastern Indiana Power Company, him and four other men were working when there were two explosions at the plant. Two men were killed.
They moved to Lee's Summit, MO before Debbie and I were born. Daddy worked for Nordberg Manufacturing at the time and had to travel through the week and was only home on weekends. I remember Friday nights him pulling in the driveway in his stationwagon. He probably wanted a home cooked meal and some peace and quiet, he got the meal, but with seven kids not much quiet. He would sit in his chair with kids on his lap watching the Flintstones. I remember his laugh. He packed alot of love into those weekends.
In 1973 he took a job as the plant manager at Carthage Water and Electric Plant. This gave him the opportunity to be home every night. Debbie and I moved to Carthage with them in 1974. Deb had finished school and I was starting my senior year. I hated moving, but look back on it now happy to have spent that time with him. For the first time in our lives we really got to know each other. Lots of great memories.
