Mrs. Betty Reed, of Eufaula, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at her residence. She was 75.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Little officiating. Burial will follow in the Alabama Heritage Cemetery in Montgomery with Chapman Funeral Home of Eufaula directing. Visitation for Mrs. Reed will be Monday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wiregrass Hospice of Eufaula, P.O. Box 1378, Eufaula, Alabama 36072, the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
Born January 20, 1934 in Missouri, Mrs. Reed was the daughter of the late Alonzo Daniel and Golda Monica (Buesking) Beckemeyer. She was the widow of John E. Reed.
Survivors include two sons: Kenneth (Susan) Reed, Curtis (Darlene) Reed, both of Eclectic-; three daughters: Teresa (John) Watkins, Eufaula, Rebecca Reed, Eufaula, Mona Bailey, Prattville.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
