Angus McKinnon was the spouse of Catherine McDougal/MacDougald McKinnon. He was born bet. 1787–1791. They married in Scotland about 1821. They emigrated to Canada in 1850 with their large family to take up Canada Company land in Tuckersmith Twp, Huron Co, Ontario.
Angus died on 18 Apr 1868 and was buried 20 Apr 1868. A record of Catherine's death and burial has not been found but it is quite likely she was buried at St Columban bet. 1881–1891.
Their youngest child John McKinnon was my gr-gr-GF.
Their eldest son Alexander emigrated before his family, likely to settle the land transaction details before his family arrived. Alexander married Anne McDonald. He died in 1888 and his widow and children eventually relocated to the Algoma District near Sault Ste Marie Ontario.
