Hans Peter Nielsen
Funeral services for Hans Peter Nielsen were held Saturday, Sept. 22, 1973 at 11 a.m. at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church, pastor Arley Fadness officiating.
Mrs. Bessie Johansen, organist, accompanied the congregation as they san "My Faith Looks Up to Thee," "Faith of Our Fathers," and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Howard Dosdall, Roger Dosdall, Raymond Dosdall, Carl Christensen, Richard Boyer, and Daniel Meyer. Interment was in the Diamond Lake Lutheran Cemetery with arrangements by Utoft-Johansen Funeral Chapel.
Hans Peter Nielsen was born October 8, 1893 to Kristine and Anders Nelsen in Drammen Township. He was baptized and confirmed in Diamond Lake Church, where he was a faithful member. In later years, he was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lake Benton. Peter attended school in Drammen and Diamond Lake School and Danebod Folk School.
He married Tinne Tambo June 23, 1922. They farmed in Drammen Township until 1959, when they moved into their present home in Lake Benton.
Mr. Nielsen passed away Set 20 at Vadheim memorial Hospital, Tyler, following a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Tinne; daughter, Genevieve Dosdall of Hancock; four grandchildren, Beverly Boyer of Marshal, Howard Dosdall of Cyrus, Roger Dosdall of Prior Lake, and Raymond Dosdall of Hancock, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mildred, a son, Norman, his parents, two sisters and one brother.
