Mack was a son of Arthur Allhands and his wife, Anna Stame. Mack married Georgiena Ostrander in December of 1918 in Crown Point, Indiana. Mack and Georgiena had one daughter, Fern. Their marriage sadly ended in divorce circa 1931. Mack secondly married Florence Beckhelm in 1934 in Watseka, Illinois.
