Naomi Judd's Grandfather, whom she paid homage to in the song "Guardian Angels". Sergeant in the 39th Kentucky Infantry.

Son of Increase Sumner Judd and Margaret Fields. Brother to Sgt John Wesley Judd Sr., they both were Sergeant's in the 39th Kentucky Infantry Co. D in civil war.

Elijah married Frances "Fannie" Pack daughter of Isaac Pack and Jemima Border Pack.
