son Henry Chiles Ray, b. November 07, 1832 Union Co, SC, died January 04, 1862 is found living with his parents Ambrose and Mary GARRETT Ray on the 1850 census (see below).

In Pontotoc County, Mississippi on April 20, 1856 Henry Chiles Ray married Una B. "Unity" CANNON. Together Henry and Unity had three known children-- Mary L. "Molly" (1857), Gideon Cannon (1859), and Jeff Ray (1861).

Henry Chiles Ray died January 04, 1862 and no headstone has been found and thus no Memorial established for this son.

Una B. "Unity" CANNON Ray re-married in 1864 to S. R. HIGGS and married again in 1869 to James J. CATES. Unity's Memorial: 26578884 can be found in Coldwater, Tate County, Mississippi.
