Alfred "Big A" Carter of Mims, FL., a lifelong resident of Mims died after a very courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara; parents, Oliver and Agnes Carter; sister, Annie and brother, Edwin. Alfred is survived by his stepchildren, Carolyn (Rick) Cowley, Randy (Darlene) Beville and Darrell (Arleen) Beville; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Alfred began driving big rigs for a living in his early teen years. He joined the U.S. Marines and eventually retired from Kennedy Space Center working as a fuel tank mechanic. Funeral services will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, FL.
