Immigrated with parents Jan 9, 1854 on windjamer "Bark Alfred". Second son of Karl August and Hanne Fredericka nee Blome Deppe. He married Catharine E. Klotz, 1880. Together they had at least 7 children. He was the founder of the Deppe Family Reunion. Grandson Robert Emmanuel Deppe wrote genealogy book "The House of Deppe".
