Graveside funeral services will be held in the West Side District Cemetery on Monday, July 23, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. for N.L. Couch Jr., 80.
Mr. Couch was born on April 22, 1921 to Noah and Millie Couch in Seminole, Oklahoma and passed away at his home in Bakersfield on July 18th, 2001. Mr. Couch moved to California in 1946. He worked 40 years in the oilfields from 1946 until his retirement in 1986. He worked for Shell Oil Company and Williams Brothers/Bechtel where he retired as a Drilling Supervisor.
Mr. Couch was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Mae Couch in March 2000. His survivors include his four children, his brother, his six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and again on Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
