Charles Cushing, 89, of 1045 West Main street died Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at the Ionia County Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted at 4
o'clock.

He was born in Ronald township in October, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Woodard Cushing and lived his entire life in Ionia county.

He was married December 1, 1890 to Blanche E. Soule who died in 1939. One son, James Cushing, died in 1940 in Lansing.

Mr. Cushing was an ardent sportsman and made many friends among the younger generation, telling stories of his hunting and fishing experiences.

Bearers will be selected from this group.

Surviving is one grandson, James E. Cushing, of Lansing.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at Stone-Kauffman funeral home with the Rev. W. W. Pixley officiating. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery.
