Lucilla “Lou” Katherine Ausloos, 95, of St. Cloud, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital.

She was born in Wahpeton, N.D., on Dec. 16, 1909, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Entringer) Dietz.

She attended St. John’s Parochial School in Wahpeton and graduated from Wahpeton High School. She then attended Business College in Minneapolis, Minn.

On August 31, 1935 she married Joseph P. Ausloos and they settled in St. Cloud. She assisted her husband in their Standard Oil business as bookkeeper until she retired in 1964.

She was a member of St. Cloud Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers and Fond du Lac County Homemakers. She was a Cub Scout den mother and also participated in various civic duties such as ballot clerk, working at the polls for the Village of St. Cloud for many years.

Lou enjoyed a number of hobbies including reading, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting and her favorite — spending time “up north” in their Crivitz cabin.

She is survived by four children: Cyril (Phyllis) Ausloos of St. Cloud, Thomas (Louella) Ausloos of Crivitz, Patricia (Eugene) Will of St. Cloud and Robert (Peggy) Ausloos of Lake Arrowhead; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; her brother, John Dietz of Wahpeton, N.D.; and sister, Magdeline O’Donnell of Westminster, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, on Dec. 19, 1995; two brothers, two sisters; and a great-granddaughter.
