Katherine Elizabeth Kieh was born in Russia, January 22, 1872 and died in Ritzville, January 7th, 1916, aged 43 years, 11 months and 15 days. She came with her parents to this country in 1878, settling first in Nebraska. Later they came to Washington, settling near Rtzville. She was married to Jacob Kiehn, Feb. 2, 1891. Three children were born to this union, only one of them, a daughter, Clara, is living. Two boys died in infancy. Mrs. Kiehn leaves to mourn her departure, a husband, daughter, a step-mother and three brothers.
Funeral service were held Sunday afternoon at the German Philadelphia Congregation church being conducted by Rev. Mr. Mueller of Rosalia, a former pastor. He was assited by Rev. Morach and Rev. Gaiser. A large crowd of relatives and person who had know and respected Mr. Kiehn were present for the last sad rites. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
