Gary Glen Beach, long time resident of Cheyenne, WY., passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2005. Gary was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on January 15, 1948, to Joseph Glen and Betty (Whittaker) Beach. In 1969 he married Margaret "Peg" (Persons) Beach and served in Vietnam in the US Army. He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming and worked for the State of Wyoming in environmental quality for more than 30 years.

Gary is survived by his two children Monica Lynn Wilcox (Michael) of Austin, Texas, and Travis Glen Beach (Corinne) of Bremerton, Washington. Grandchildren, Meagan Faye Elizabeth Wilcox, William "Liam" Dale Wilcox, and Christepher Glen Beach. His Mother Betty (Darrel) Whitsell of Milwaukie, Oregon, Brothers, Gale (Cheryl) Beach of Donnelly, ID., Greg (Jamie) Beach of Mountain View, Sister Lynette (Spike) Arnell of Mountain View, several dear nieces, nephews, cousins and many professional colleagues and beloved friends. Gary was preceded in death by his wife Margaret "Peg" Beach, his father Joseph Glen Beach and a sister Vicki Beach.

Gary lived his life with a strong passion for his family and the environment. He was a devoted husband and father and often shared many of life's mysteries and lessons with his family while enjoying, hiking, camping, skiing, and fishing.. He was a proactive advocate for improving the environmental quality of the State working at the state, regional, and national levels.

Services will be held at the Cheyenne First United Methodist Church, 108 E 18th, St., Cheyenne, WY. 82001, 307-634-1057, Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 2:00 P.M.

His ashes are scattered with his those of his wife Peg, high above the Gourley Meadows in the Wasatch National Forest in South Western Wyoming. GPS coordinates are estimated to be: 41.046084, -110.379773
