Arthur Ekker, 67, lifelong cattle rancher and for 40 years the owner of the historic Robber's Roost, died July 25, 1978 at St Mary's Hospital, Grand Junction, after suffering a heart attack. He was born May 25 1911 in Hanksville to Cornelius and Edna Gibbons Ekker. He married Hazel Biddlecome on Feb 1929, in Price. She died Jan 9 1969, and on March 28, 1970, he married Lela Wilcox Anderson in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives. Survivors are Eddyjo Ekker, A.C. Ekker, Green River, Isaac Emge Ekker died shortly thereafter in Richfield 1942. Arthur was a master mason and long-time member of Orient Lodge No. 15, F&AM, Green River, and was also an active member of the Southeastern Utah Cattlemen's Association. by vergene rhoton walker
