1862, 13 Oct: Edwin R. Heflin (17) enlisted as a Pvt. in Co. A, 93rd Ills. Inf. at Camden Mills.

1864, 05 Oct: Pvt. Edwin R. Heflin was wounded/captured during the Battle of Allatoona, GA. His obit stated that he was in a southern prison (CSA) for 9 mo.s.

1922, 22 Jan: His wife, Minnie (76), d. in DeBeque of Bright's Disease. This ended the C.W. Pension.

Both were interred in the city cemetery.
