Al was the 5th child in a family of 8 children. His brothers and sisters were: Mary Veronica Jarvis (1900-1900), Maryanna Esther Jarvis (1901-1901), Ralph John Jarvis (1903-1983), Germaine Cecilia Jarvis-McKeon (1905-1991), Victor J. Jarvis (1910-1980), Agnes Jarvis (1910-1925), and Vincent Laurence Jarvis (1915-1989).
On Dec 30, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, Al married Helen Marie Ankofski (1906-1949). This couple had six children living at the time of Helen's death: Aloysius, Jr., Mary Ann, Helen, Dolores, John, and Margaret.
After Al's first wife died in 1949, he married again to Leona Ann Bruschitzki-Bradley on Aug 27, 1951. Leona had three children from a previous marriage: John, Pat, and Sharron.
Combining all the children into the new family, Al and Leona settled in Warren, Michigan, where Al worked in the auto industry. Al and Leona had three more children during their marriage: Deborah, and twins Ronald and Donald who died in infancy.
When Al retired, he and Leona and their daughter Deborah moved to Corona, Riverside County, California. Al died July 3, 1973, in the Loma Linda Hospital, Loma Linda, California. Leona remained in Corona, California, until she died in 1988. Both are buried in the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona.
