She was born November 24, 1911 in Pleasant Grove, a daughter of Albert Henry and Alvira Smith Olpin. She married Leland B. Christiansen July 17, 1930 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 23, 1991. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Business College. She had been employed as assistant manager at Keeleys Restaurant in Provo. She later worked with her husband and son in their business, "Chris Conoco" as bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the LDS Church, living in the Provo 4th Ward. She was a very loving and caring mother. Her children always came first.
She is survived by two daughters and a son, Joyce (Grant) Peterson, Boise, Idaho; Judy Frampton, Salt Lake City; William A. Christiansen, Tallahassee, Flor.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Olpin, Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Norman L. Christiansen.
Services will be Friday, at 11 a.m., in the Provo 4th Ward, 101 West 800 North. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Provo 4th Ward or Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove.
