Joseph was the son of William Joseph and Josephine (Porter) Kilroy and grandson of Michael J. and Mary (O'Connell) Kilroy. Joe was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Madeline Kilroy (nee Bird), devoted father of Karen Kilroy, Deborah Miller, Stephen Kilroy, John Kilroy and the late Michael Kilroy, dear grandfather of Marie and Joe Kilroy. Devoted brother of Thomas "Tinker" Kilroy .
