Age 74, of Sewickley, went home to God on Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Born in Coraopolis on September 20, 1934, daughter of the late William Roy and Anna (Sloop) McDonald. Beloved wife for 54 years to James Sgro; loving mother of Bruce (Alissa) Sgro; proud grandmother of Nina, Angela and Dominic; cherished sister of Robert McDonald ,Wayne (Frances) McDonald and the late Ruth Moffat, Jean Oellig, Hazel, David and Fred McDonald. Also 17 nieces and nephews. Member of St. James Church. Retired executive secretary from Dravo Corp. and receptionist from Dr. Sabatelle's office. She was an amazing cook, enjoyed crossword puzzles, and most importantly, adored her grandchildren. Visitation Sunday 1-3 and 6-8 at COPELAND'S SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St. with prayer on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church at 10 AM. Burial St. James Cemetery. Family welcomes flowers or donations in her name to Valley Ambulance Authority, American Heart Association or American Cancer Association.
