Dave Briere, 85, of Chinook, a World War II Army and Montana National Guard veteran, died of natural causes Saturday at Northern Montana Hospital in Havre.
Survivors include a son, David Briere of Havre; daughters Billie Watkins of Sebring, Fla., Jacki Schmidt of Glendive, Pam Darrah, Bridgette Briere and Jolynn Russell, all of Chinook; a brother, Mickey Briere of Box Elder; sisters Dorothy Sinsel and Josephine Smith, both of Havre, and Maida Sorkness of Belt; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille "Sis" Briere.
