Ruth was the daughter of Harold P Langston (born in Arkansas) and Goldia Mae Snyder (born in Ohio). She lived in California her whole life, moving to Humboldt County in 1940. In 1948 she met and married Floyd Joseph Battey and they settled in Fernbridge. She died early Sunday morning in Humboldt County Hospital after having been ill for two days.
