Obituary:
Louise McCaleb Banks, 81 of Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at her home with special family by her side. Louise was born June 28, 1933 in Duck River, Tennessee to the late Baker B. McCaleb and Irene McCaleb Cochran. She was raised by her step-father, Robert C. Cochran after the passing of her father. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. "Pete" Banks for 55 good years. She was a faithful member of the Greeenfield Bend Church of Christ.
She was a nurse in the operating room at Hickman County Hospital. She loved working with the late Dr. Elrod and her long time friend Ruth Gill. After moving to Maury County in 1974, she stopped nursing and became a farmer's wife to Pete. She was a kind, caring, compassionate person that loved everyone. Louise loved spending time with friends and family.
The family will visit with friends Friday, April 17, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Bill McDonald and Jason Delk officiating. Burial will be at the Totty's Bend Cemetery in Duck River, Tennessee.
Louise is survived by a special devoted family: A. Manson Morrow II and wife Carla Morrow and two dear to her heart grandchildren, Archie Manson Morrow III; and Amanda Morrow (Roscoe) Voss; sisters, Mary Vick of Williamsport, TN; Bobbie (Jack) Lowery of Centerville, TN; brother, Roy (Joyce) Cochran of Duck River, TN; step-brothers, Edward (Ruth) Cochran; Otis (Mary) Cochran; step-sister, Sara Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. "Pete" Banks; her precious daughter, Cynthia Ann Banks, who passed away July 17, 1964; and brothers, Thomas McCaleb; Hubert McCaleb and Clyde McCaleb.
Pallbearers will be Archie Manson Morrow III; Roscoe Voss; Donald Vick; Douglas Vick; Allen Foster; Ethan Foster; Steve McCaleb; Doug McCaleb; Junior McCaleb; Eli Mayberry; and Rodney Mayberry.
Memorials may be sent to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, 2200 Children's Way, Nashville, TN 37232.
