Ingvald Borreson, age 83, of Strathcona, MN, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 in Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 11:00 AM in Gustav Adolph Lutheran Church in Strathcona with Pastor Rena Peterson, officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, with a 7 PM Prayer Service in Gieseke Funeral Chapel of Greenbush and one hour before services in the church on Tuesday.
Spring burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at Strathcona.
Ingvald Sam Borreson, the son of Arne & Nettie (Hoff) Borreson, was born December 6, 1929 on the home farm at Strathcona, MN. He grew up and attended school there. He was baptized June 8, 1930 at Poplar Grove Church of Strathcona and confirmed December 19, 1943 at Poplar Grove.
He married M.E.E. on June 27, 1959 in Thief River Falls, MN. They farmed the home farm at rural Strathcona. He also worked for Keine Farms, Elmer Johnson House Moving at Warren, MN, Arctic Cat for 18 years, Grunig Farms and S & F Farms. He also enjoyed farming for himself. Ingvald was a lifetime member of Gustav Adolph Church and a member of the church council.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years.
