Mrs Erna Baumgardt, 84, 702 Werle Ave, Wausau, died on Wednesday March 7, 1979 at a local nursing home.
The former Erna Schultz was born in Wausau on February 11, 1895 the daughter of Mr and Mrs Carl Schultz. On June 2, 1917 she married Walter Baumgardt in Wausau. He died on August 5, 1978.
She was a member of the Ladies Aid and welfare workers of her church; Trinity Lutheran Church of Wausau.
Survivors include two sons Marlan of Schofield and Wallace "Red" of Rothschild; two brothers Eric of Santa Rosa, CA and Arnold of Wausau; two sisters Margaret and Helen Schultz both of Wausau; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday March 10, 1979 at the Helke West Chapel. The Rev. Herbert Praeuner of Trinity Lutheran Church in Wausau officiated and burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau. A visitation was held on Friday evening at the Helke West Funeral Chapel.
