Mrs. Kathie Besherse, 43 of Ft. Smith passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2014 at her home. She was born on November 3, 1971 in Ft. Smith to Lloyd Melton Jr. and Pricilla "Moore" Melton. She grew up in Ft. Smith and the surrounding areas, and received her education at both Ft. Smith and Pocola. She then married Gary Moore and they moved to various places while he was in the military, before returning to the Ft. Smith area.
She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Broom of Ft. Smith, Elacy Moore of Ft. Smith; one son, Gary Ray Moore Jr. of Ft. Smith; her mother, Pricilla Melton of Ft. Smith; her step-father, Brad Brewer of Ft. Smith; three brothers, Brian Melton of Lavaca, Bobby Melton of Ft. Smith, Steven Melton of Ft. Smith; one sister, Tiffany Melton of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Melton Jr.; her grandparents, Lloyd and Hazel Melton, Troy and Dorothy Moore; two daughters, Brandy Moore, Samantha Moore; one brother, Lloyd Anthony Melton.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Stigler Cemetery. Pallbearers will include, Brian Melton, Bobby Melton, Steven Melton, Joshua Melton, Bobby Melton Jr., and Patrick Melton. Burial will immediately follow under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
