F. M. Edmundson, Aged 81 Years, Died Sunday Morning at 5:45 O'clock at His Home on Lock Street, Tarentum After Brief Illness

LIFE-LONG MEMBER OF PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Was Formerly a Prosperous Farmer of West Deer Township and Prominent in Public Life

F. M. Edmundson, aged 81 years, for many years a prosperous farmer, of West Deer township, died at his home 908 Lock street, Tarentum, Sunday morning, August 19th, at 5:45 o'clock. Death resulted from a general break down due to old age. Mr. Edmundson had been enjoying usual good health up till last Thursday when he was compelled to take to his bed. From that time on his condition grew gradually worse until his death resulted yesterday morning.

Mr. Edmundson was born in Elizabeth township near McKeesport. In 1851 he married Miss Martha Jane Miller, of McKeesport, who died in 1895. Shortly after his marriage he moved to West Deer township, where he resided until two years ago, when he moved to Tarentum. He was a carpenter by trade and worked at it for several years after moving to West Deer township. Mr. Edmundson was prominent in public life in his township, being tax collector and assessor for over 40 years. He was also a school director and supervisor for many years, resigning these positions when he moved to Tarentum. He was a life-long Republican.

Mr. Edmundson was a charter member of the Presbyterian church, of Natrona, of which he was also an elder. After leaving the Natrona church, he entered the Bull Creek Presbyterian church, of which he was an elder and member at the time of his death.
