*****Hazel M. Carter, 74, of Macon, died Saturday (March 16.1991) at the Columbia Regional Hospital Columbia.
*****Born at Cardy, Missouri, on July 2, 1916, she was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Della Emerson Gunnels. On August 14, 1933 at Elmer, she married Ernest G, Carter who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Bill gunnels, Bennie Gunnels, Laverne Gunnels, and Leon Gunnels.
*****Surviving are one sob, George W. Carter of Macon; one daughter, Venita Gardner of Breckenridge; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Manford Gunnels of Kirksville; and one sister, Frances Rhoades.
*****Mrs. Carter moved to Macon with her husband in 1965 from Chillocothe. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Elmer,
*****Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon (March 20, 1991) at the Hutton and McElwain Funeral Home in Macon with Brother Paul Manning, pastor of the Callao Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery Macon.
