"Benjamin Decker Kennedy, age 62 and of Jefferson Township, died Wednesday. He was unmarried and lived on the farm with his sister, Mrs. Mary Arnold. He also leaves three brothers who are Dr. D.P. and W.W. Kennedy of this city and Dr. John Kennedy of Paragon. He was a Civil War veteran." Civil War service: Corpl., Co. H, 33 Ind.
