Hold Last Rites For Mrs. Ellis
Last rites were held from the Smiley Baptist church Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for Mrs. M. C. Ellis, who died in Smiley Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock.
She was the mother of Florence Ellis, long-time employee of the Central Power and Light company in Gonzales.
Mrs. Ellis was 83 years of age, her birthday filling on Huly 4. Others surviving are a son, J. L. Ellis, and a daughter, Mrs. Stella Hart, all of Smiley.
Those from here who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Reaves, Mrs. Ben Davis and Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Spooner.
