Tully James was the son of Daniel Archibald and Elizabeth (Barnett) [Matthews] Biggs.
He married Mary Catherine Smith in Monroe Co., Alabama on August 30, 1866.
Tully and Mary Catherine's headstone reads: Together they are sleeping, from sorrow they are free.
His siblings were: John Winfrey, Charity Ann, Miles Monroe, Ethan, Effie, William, Margaret Jude, and Caroline Elizabeth.
Tully was a Private in the Alabama 17th Infantry Co. H, during the Civil War.
The picture is either a photo or a portrait of him in his Civil War uniform not too long before he died.
