Yost drowned while swimming in a river in Kentucky during his lunch break. Yost was an excellent swimmer. Ironically, drowning is the one thing he always said would never kill him. It is believed that he was either pulled under by the current and trapped or developed cramps after eating. Yost never married and had no children. He was 35 years old.
