Mrs. Alt was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, American Legion Post 11 Auxiliary, VFW Post 1154 Auxiliary, and she was a past national chaplain of the Navy Club Auxiliary, and a member of Lafayette Navy Club Ship 12 Auxiliary.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Harriet (Mrs. George R.) Hartnett of Lafayette and Rosemary (Mrs. Donald R.) Limberg of Wilmette, IL; a son, Frank D. Alt, assistant principal of Munich American High School in Munich, Germany; two brothers, Michael G. D'Arcy of Queens, NY, and James L. D'Arcy of Galway, Ireland; two sisters, Mrs. Bertram B. Klee of Brooklyn, NY, and Mrs. J. Leach Cox of Hot Springs, SD; and three grandchildren.
