Mr. Barker was born in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late James Corb and Bessie King Barker.
Tommy was retired from General Motors in Indiana, where he worked as a machinist. He was a member of the Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Ester Craig Barker and Ruth Spurlington Barker; three brothers; Gobel Barker, Clarence Barker and Ernest Barker; and three sisters; Vernie Porter, Lima Justice and Gladys Hutsell.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Murle Patrick Ervin Barker; two brothers; Arlen Barker of New Castle, Indiana and Ercel Barker of Indianapolis, Indiana; and one sister, Peggy Holt of Mansfield, Ohio. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
