Alfred Albert Seibold, Sr
Birth: Oct. 14, 1910
Philadelphia County
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: Jun. 16, 1986
New Jersey, USA

Alfred "Al" Seibold was my Grandfather. He was the son of Blanche (nee Oechsle) and Charles Seibold. His Father died when he was 8 & his Mother when he was 10. After his Mother's death he was sent to Lutheran Orphan's Home and Asylum in Philadelphia with his brothers, Howard and Robert. His Sister, Helen, went to Carson College for Orphan Girls in Philadelphia, PA. At 16 Alfred went to live with his Foster parents. His Foster Father's name was "Haps". His siblings were: Harry, Rose (died at age six), Helen, Howard & Robert. He moved to NJ where his brother Harry was. He married Florence Perry Reinert on January 28, 1937. He had three children: Edna Mae, Ruth & Alfred, Jr. One child died in a miscarriage, they named him Charles. Al was also the grandfather of three: Janet, Jimmy and Cheryl. Al went into business with his friend, Ed Likewise. They created the company, "Magic Art Paint". Al worked for many years at Alcoa Aluminum Company and was Sargeant of the Guards at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. He had a huge garden and loved animals. He was a quiet, gentle man. My Mom said he made childhood fun, he made up for what he missed in the orphange with his own children. If there was a fire, he'd follow the fire truck. He'd drive them all around to see the Christmas lights. He & my Grandmother were married almost 50 years. You knew when he liked something, he'd say, "This is odd." He never did spoke of his childhood, must've been too painful. My brother & I absolutely loved going to my Grandparent's house. He was a wonderful man and we love & miss him so very much.

Cause of Death: Heart Attack

Inscription on Stone: My Wife is the Beautiful Flower in my Garden.

"Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again."
