Grandpa never met a person he didn't like. He enjoyed camping and used to sit under a tree in the backyard and just take everything in. When we went camping, he always brought his bike with him, and it was always a good-natured battle over whose turn it was to ride it. Grandpa used to smoke a pipe and everyonce in a while, I can smell the cherry tobacco, and I know he's here with me.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, sister Mildred and her husband Wayne; son Rick and his wife, Debbie; daughter Risa and her husband Bill, granddaughter Sherry, granddaughter Jill and her husband Tim, grandson Jeff and his wife Andrea, granddaughter Kim. Also great grandchildren: Sean, Eric, Tommy, Lindsey, Joshua, Ashley, and Harrison.
