The fourth of six children born to Felin and Annie Myers Hilliard in Hempstead, Texas. Mr. Hilliard worked as a farmer in Hempstead, Texas and spent several years in Palm Springs, California where he and his wife retired. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an excellent cook. He was predeceased by his wife of fifty one years, Mollie Kemp Hilliard, as well as his siblings. Mr. Hilliard passed away at age 89 after illness. He is survived his two children, four grandchildren, three great granchildren; and a host of other close relatives and friends.
