My Ham Radio Friend, Wilhelm, nickname: Willy,GOLBERG was born May 1th.1921 in GERMANY.
During WW2 He served in the GERMAN NAVY as Wireless Operator,"Sparks".
After the War Willy obtained for an International Ham Radiolicense and became the Official Callsign DL6JB.
He was member#232 in the "MF Runde",a German Society of Hamming, former Navy Operators from all Nationalities.
What first was his Duty in the Navy, was now his Hobby, making contact via the Morsecode or Microphon with His many Radiofriends all over the World.
Willy died on a sunny Day,May 15th.2002 in BOTTROP-GERMANY.
Now Willy is a "Silent Key" like Ham's say when one of them dies.
Old Sailors never die...they just Sail away.
