Carla L. Henderson
MEMPHIS, Mo.-Carla L. Henderson, 67, of rural Memphis, died Aug. 20, 2013, in Scotland County Hospital. Services will be 10:20 a.m. Monday in Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis. Interment will follow in the Brock Cemetery.

Carla Louise Henderson, born March 8, 1946 in Fairfield, Iowa, passed away August 30, 2013 in Memphis, Missouri.
Carla grew up in the rural area of Mt. Sterling, Iowa where she attended and graduated from the Revere, Missouri High School in 1964. While growing up an only child she was her fathers right hand man, helping with the farming, and livestock. During this time she belonged to a local saddle club, and enjoyed horse shows.
She married Freddie Henderson on November 20, 1965 in Mt. Sterling, Iowa, and became a farmer's wife. Two children were born to this union, Lisa and Jeff. You could always count on Carla to be there when you needed her, whether it was taking the kids to a school event or activity or helping move farm equipment.
Carla loved to play bingo, during the 1980's and early nineties she was a permanent fixture on Tuesday nights at the Rotary Bingo, she hardly missed a Tuesday night.
She was a great wife, mother, and friend. She will be missed by all.
Carla is preceded in death by her mother Flo Gordy, brother-in-law Harry Robeson, and in-laws Lonel and Aletha Henderson.
She is survived by her husband of the home Fred Henderson, her father Russell Gordy, and one daughter Lisa Orton, and Husband Mark, a son Jeff Henderson, and his wife Renee of Ottumwa, Iowa, one very special granddaughter Kassidy Henderson, and two step-grandchildren, Craig Orton and wife Jennifer, and Brandi Sutter and Husband AJ. Three great step-grandchildren Jailyn and Connor Sutter, and Jenna Orton. Two sister-in-laws, Margaret Robeson and Crystal Riebel (Roger), and many nieces and nephews.
