Here are some deeds of Campbell Co., Ga. Book A, page 38:
Executed Campbell Co., Ga. Dec 6. 1830. Bond in the amount of $300. Lemuel Wilkinson, George Chappell and Campbell Powell, to make a true inventory of and to settle according to law the estate of Mary Lawson, Dec'd. late of Greene Co., Georgia.
Witness: Caleb Fields, Clerk. Campbell Co., Ga. (no recording date).
Deed Book A, page 613; Executed Campbell Co., Ga. Feruray 18, 1834. The Inferior Court of Campbell Co., Ga. sitting for Ordinary purposes, granted Lemuel Wilkerson Admr. of the Estate of Mary Lawson, to sell and dispose of certain land. At public sale, Davis Maddox was the highest bidder at $50. for 202 1 /2 acres of land lying in LL. #69 Dist 8, Coweta, now Campbell Co., Ga. Witness: Thomas A. Latham, Joel N. Dyer, no recording date entered.
Both these men, Lemuel Wilkerson and George Chappell sell lands in other deeds, without any mention of relatedness with another person named Elisha Garrett; the land changes hands a lot.
Lucy Malone Chappell's sister is Elizabeth Malone who married Elisha Powell. They were both daughters of John Malone d. 1808 in Jackson/Clarke Co., Ga. His lands lay within 2 miles of Athens, Georgia. John Malone left to his son William Malone Sr. by his Will and then when William d. 1826 he has statements regarding slaves-to be sold if slaves desired, or to live with who they chose, and the slaves were sold and divided among the children of John who were listed as getting the share of sale of these slaves mentioned in John's will.
My husband's ancestress brother's children's guardian at his death in 1860 was the son of Thomas B. Malone married Winniford Saffold abt 1811/2 in Morgan Co., Georgia; named John Hampton Malone, who was named after John Malone's sister, Joice Malone Hampton's husband, John Hampton.
