Laura Isabel Alger, 78, of Braddock Heights, MD, died Sunday, May 30, 2004, at Washington Hospital Center.
Born Sept. 21, 1925, in Harpers Ferry, she was the daughter of Willard W. Ballenger and Minnie Rutherford Ballenger.
She was a retired photo finisher.
She leaves her long-time companion, Harry C. King, of Braddock Heights, MD; one daughter, Rebecca K. "Becky" Briggs of Ranson; one son, Jesse Allen Alger, Jr. of Charles Town; one sister, Elsie Anderson of Ranson; five granddaughters, Tylisa Beveridge, Candace Wilt, Michelle Roth, Gaitana Alger and Melissa Alger; six great-grandchildren, Michael Roth, Dustin Roth, Cortney Wilt, Hagan Wilt, Corbin Pierson and Ethan May; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
