Ann Stone was born on 11 March 1733 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Her parents, William and Margaret Stone, were long time residents of Woodbridge. Her grandparents, also William and Margaret Stone, are buried in the cemetery also. She married David Coddington on 11 October 1750 in Woodbridge. To this union were born 11 children.

Ann's husband, David died in 1787. She moved to Piscataway, Middlesex County, NJ sometime after his death. Her will was probated on 2 April 1807 in Piscataway. She signed a will on 12 February 1805 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey. She died on 7 Mar 1807.
In the name of God, Amen I Ann Coddington of Piscataway in the county of Middlesex & State of New Jersey, being weak in body but of sound & disposing mind & memory, do make & publish this my Last will & testament, and first, I give & bequeath unto my son James my cow & the only one which I own; -- Second, I give to my grand daughter Ann Codington, daughter of my son Moses Coddington, the feather bed, boalster of pillows which I now use & commonly lay on with a large rose blanket; third, I give & bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth, the remainder of all my personal estate of what nature, form it may be & in whose possession it may be, together with all my wearing apparel to her own use forever; & lastly I do hereby nominate & appoint my son Moses and my son-in-law Caleb Brokaw Joint Executors of this my last will & testament; signed, sealed, published, pronounced & declared to be my testament & last will in the presence of the persons who have hereunto signed their names as witnesses, the twelfth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five.
