Sacred to the memory of William Andrew of Metheroes in this parish who departed this life the 2nd day of January 1818 in the 56th year of his age.

'Here lies my body in this grave, It is my lot thou must it have, Both rich and rich to dust must fall, And rise again when Christ doth call, The times uncertain watch & pray, To be prepar'd against that day, And keep a conscience clear before, To reign with Christ for evermore.'

Also to the memory of Mary, wife of the above William Andrew who departed this life the 9th day of April 1830.

'Awaited meekly for the Lord, Till he souchsafed a kind reply, Who did his gracious ear afford, And heard from heav'n my humble cry, He took me from the dismal pit, When founder'd deep in miry clay, On solid ground he plac'd my feet, And suffer'd not my steps to stray'.
